Join us for “Practices for Transforming the Peacebuilder” at the 2017 Canadian School of Peacebuilding with instructor Ron Kraybill. Those involved in peacebuilding operate in environments that impose high stress on peacebuilders, physically, emotionally and spiritually. This practical course will explore self-care and personal transformation of peace workers as a fundamental requirement of transformation of our world. The course itself will consist of a blend of lecture, participatory group exercises, and practices of personal reflection.
This course is offered in partnership with Resolution Skills Centre (RSC) and Mediation Services and counts as 2 days of elective credit towards an RSC certificate.
This course is available for professional development, personal inspiration or academic credit. People who may benefit from this course include NGO staff and interns, activists and peace educators, community leaders, religious leaders, teachers and professors, undergraduate or graduate students, government officials, and anyone interested in peace work.
Email csop@cmu.ca for more information. Your application is not complete and your seat in the course is not reserved until we have received full payment.
